EXT. AMSTERDAM CANAL STREET - DAY BRIAN (20s, red-and-black plaid sweater vest over light blue polo, side-swept blonde hair, metal braces) walks backward, scanning a crowd of tourists. He bumps into a bicycle rack. A cyclist swerves, cursing. Brian smiles、awkward, hopeful, braces glinting. He spots LAINA (20s, wide-eyed, fixed smile) across the street. She waves. She is not moving toward him. She is simply there. Brian turns and walks fast. EXT. TULIP FIELD OUTSKIRTS - DAY Brian jogs along a dirt path between rows of tulips. He checks over his shoulder. No Laina. ALIEN GUY (50s, wild gray hair, rumpled suit, expansive gestures) steps out from behind a windmill. Brian collides with him. ALIEN GUY She is not your girlfriend. She is an alien. I watched her ship land here、right here、in this tulip field. The tulips bent. They know. Brian tries to step around him. Alien Guy blocks. ALIEN GUY You must follow me. To her ship. I have proof. I have samples. I have、 Brian ducks under his arm and keeps walking. ALIEN GUY She will find you! They always find you! EXT. AMSTERDAM STREET - DAY Brian weaves through a flower market. He knocks over a bucket of tulips. A vendor shouts. Brian grabs a bunch, tries to hand them back, drops them. He steps on a tulip, slips, catches a stall frame. The stall collapses. A cascade of flowers buries him. He emerges, petals in his hair. He smiles. Braces. EXT. CANAL BRIDGE - DAY Brian runs onto a narrow metal bridge. He sees Laina at the far end, waiting. He stops. He turns. Alien Guy is behind him, arms spread. ALIEN GUY The ship. It is close. I can feel it. She is drawing you to it. Brian ignores him. He climbs onto the bridge railing to edge past a group of tourists. A BLONDE WOMAN (long blonde hair, black off-shoulder top, shorts) is posed on the railing, mid-selfie. Brian startles her. She wobbles. He reaches to steady her. He overreaches. Brian falls backward into the canal. SPLASH. A white boat passes below. Several CASUAL MEN in sunglasses watch Brian flail. They laugh. One helps the blonde woman down from the railing. She is fine. Brian is not. Brian surfaces, gasping, soaked. The men toast him with beers. EXT. BUSY AMSTERDAM STREET - DAY Brian stands dripping on the sidewalk. His sweater vest is askew. His hair is plastered. He is trying to wring out his polo. Laina appears beside him. She is dry. She is smiling. LAINA Found you, my love! I'm never letting you go! Brian freezes. He smiles. Braces. CAMERA RISES. Slow. Over the rooftops. Over the crowd. A FLYING SAUCER descends slowly over the city. Silent. Huge. HARD CUT TO: CLOSE-UP - ALIEN GUY He is cheering, arms raised, ecstatic. ALIEN GUY I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! THE END.
