Pricing
From Wikiprompt, the free prompt encyclopedia
Wikiprompt itself is free: the encyclopedia, the AI Wiki, benchmarks, search and the open dataset cost nothing and require no account. The only paid feature is Create, the on-platform runner that lets you execute any prompt from the catalog (or your own) against real AI models and iterate on the results.
What things cost
| Feature | Price | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Browse the prompt encyclopedia | Free | Every prompt, category, search facet, wiki article and benchmark page. No account needed. |
| Contribute and edit | Free | Submitting prompts, comments, bookmarks and AI Wiki edits are free with a signed-in account. |
| Create: first generation | Free | Your first finished generation in Create costs nothing. Try it before buying anything. |
| Create: text generation | 1-4 credits | Run a text prompt against a frontier model (fast tiers 1, Sonnet/GPT-5 class 2, Opus 4) and iterate conversationally. |
| Create: standard image | 2-4 credits | Generate an image with a fast model (Nano Banana line, GPT-5 Image Mini). |
| Create: premium image | 6-8 credits | Generate with a premium model (Nano Banana Pro, GPT-5 Image, GPT Image 2). |
| Create: image input | +2 credits | Iterating on an image or attaching a reference photo adds an image-input surcharge. |
| Create: your own API key | 0 credits | Advanced users can plug their own OpenRouter key: generations then bill YOUR OpenRouter account directly, at cost, with a higher hourly limit. |
Credit pack
- Up to 100 fast text generations, ~25-50 standard images, or ~12 premium images - mix freely.
- Credits never expire.
- Failed generations are automatically refunded to your credit balance.
- Video generation is coming soon and will use the same credit system.
All prices are in US dollars. Purchases are processed by our merchant of record, which handles applicable VAT and sales tax at checkout.
Where the money goes
Credits are priced at the actual model cost plus a small markup that pays for Wikiprompt's hosting and development. Wikiprompt is an open project, not a profit-maximizing product: the encyclopedia, the AI Wiki, the benchmarks and the full dataset are free, openly licensed and shared with everyone.
In the same spirit, creations made with Create are shared with the community by default: your prompt joins the encyclopedia under your profile, so others can learn from it. You can make any creation private from its thread, or turn sharing off entirely in your profile settings.
