Falsework sprawls like scaffolding over water; deck slabs ripple in concrete waves; parapets and guardrails crest along the edges. Cables sling down in silver arcs; anchors clamp. Asphalt unrolls in black ribbons; lane stripes flicker in fresh paint. Lighting poles spark on in sequence, mirrored in the river below. At last, cones sweep aside and headlights stream from both banks - cars and trucks flowing across, the bridge binding land to land in one continuous line.
