Replace the original hard sunlight that evenly covered the face and clothing with a narrow, unsoftened diagonal direct light band formed by an off-frame solid shading panel. The light band cuts across the subject from the upper right to the lower left of the frame, illuminating only one eye on the right side, half the nasal bridge, adjacent cheekbone, a small portion of the lip edge, and the hand holding the bamboo-woven frame at the center; the other half of the face, neck, and most of the clothing outside the direct light area quickly sink into deep, slightly cool-toned shadow. Exposure control: The edge of the light band must be sharp and abrupt, creating visible cut-off boundaries on the forehead, cheeks, neck, and sleeves, without soft gradients. Lit skin is pushed toward white, allowing slight loss of highlight detail locally; shadows are significantly deeper than the original, with no ambient fill and no full recovery of shadow detail. Retain a small lit background area, while the rest of the background is slightly darkened.
