Goertzelâs association with financier Jeffrey Epstein also was reported. He received a $100,000 grant for AGI research, given in 2001 from the Epstein Foundation. In a 2019 interview with The New York Times, Goertzel said, âI have no desire to talk about Epstein right now... The stuff Iâm reading about him in the papers is pretty disturbing and goes way beyond what I thought his misdoings and kinks were.
