Two inks, nothing else. – the photograph is duotone in the field colour – a stepped white channel cuts down the frame like pixel stairs – inside that channel the body flips to the hot colour – and the hot colour always lands on the part doing the work: the torso entering the water, the driving leg, the molten gather, the struck cymbal – headline in sentence-case neo-grotesque, black - the first letter capital, nothing else – dates stacked as big black numerals, month and year beneath – one line of small bold caps bottom-left: the event, then the format – no grain, no gradient, no third colour Swaps: discipline / colour pair / where the steps fall / dates / event name Everything stays cool except the part doing the work.
