The Princess points insistently at his sword. He realizes the obvious solution, looks slightly embarrassed and cuts the latch with one clear strike. Only after the latch is cut does the cage door swing open for the first time. The Princess steps completely outside the cage, turns upward and gives the unseen artist a triumphant defiant gesture. The Man offers his hand. She takes it. They run together toward screen-right and exit completely through the RIGHT edge. Leave the empty open cage behind.
