Studio Portrait of Nine Women in Red and Blue Gowns

A studio portrait photograph, composed in a vertical frame, features a group of nine diverse women standing together against a dark, mottled background, their gazes directed forward. The central figure, with a short dark pixie cut and wearing a striking red high-neck gown with a sweeping train, is flanked by others in complementary outfits. To the left, a woman with dark skin wears a long-sleeved red mermaid dress, and beside her is another woman with dark skin in a halter-neck red dress. On the right, a blonde woman wears a textured, high-neck red dress, and the outermost figure is a woman with brown hair in a strapless red dress. To the left side of the central figure is a group of three women, all wearing matching dark blue, pleated, floor-length tulle halter gowns; one is seated, wearing the same style dress, while two stand behind her, one with blonde curly hair and one with dark skin and a curly afro. To the right side of the central red-dressed figure is another woman in the identical dark blue tulle gown, matching the three on the left, bringing the total to four women in blue. The entire composition is bathed in a dramatic, directed light that casts deep shadows, emphasizing the rich textures of the fabrics and the distinct features of each woman. The floor is an aged, textured concrete.
