Rainy bus stop night scene

The rain slicked asphalt of the bus stop mirrored the single streetlamp's glow, casting long, distorted shadows into the pervasive night. A young woman, her long, dark hair a wild cascade around her shoulders, stood solitary under the meager shelter of the bus stop. Clad in a worn leather jacket, a thick, patterned scarf wound tightly about her neck, and sturdy combat boots, she cupped a trembling hand around a flickering lighter flame. The small, orange spark momentarily illuminated the thoughtful, weary expression on her face as she brought it to the tip of a cigarette, the faint wisp of smoke already curling into the cold, damp air, blending with the mist that clung to the deserted urban landscape. The distant, blurry red and white lights of unseen vehicles offered the only other sign of life in the desolate darkness.
