Italian 1930s Art Deco Glamour Scene

Italian 1930s art deco glamour, black and white elegance, upper class setting, glossy melodrama, escapist glamour. A seductive, convincing woman delivers all dialogue in English, played completely straight as if she has just had a brilliant idea she may as well try, never wanting to talk to anyone again. The telephone appears only briefly as part of the scene, not the focus. Constant action, grand operatic staging, deep chiaroscuro shadows, rain streaking the windows, sweeping orchestral strings, dramatic low-angle and extreme close-up shots. Glamorous and absurd, not bleak. English speech only, no on-screen text, no subtitles.
