Beneath the crust the body is packed dry earth. No flesh, no blood. SETTING A wide working harbor at late morning under high hard sun, deep blue-green chop with short swell. A dense high-rise skyline crowds the far shoreline, green mountain ridge behind under cumulus. Ferries, barges and fishing boats dragging wakes across the water. The creature wades chest-deep, pushing a massive bow wave. The car cuts hard right on its thrusters and the impact misses behind it, a wall of water detonating upward. The camera rocks from the shockwave, spray landing on the glass. 7.5-10.0s INTERIOR, CHEST-MOUNTED BODY CAM Lens at sternum height, offset right so the wheel sits left of center. The driver's face is never visible at any point. Only gloved hands, forearms and harness webbing cross the lower frame. The rear thrusters gimbal down and fire white-hot, blowing a crater into the water. The car lifts clean off, nose pitching up, stabilizer vanes extending with visible mechanical travel, and climbs into a full-speed flight run at the creature's abdomen. Camera cranes upward chasing it, sun cutting a hard flare. 12.5-15.0s IMPACT, SPEED RAMP TO EXTREME SLOW MOTION Speed ramps down at the instant of contact. The car punches through the creature's midsection at full velocity. The body does not bleed. It detonates outward as dry packed earth: cascading clods of soil, crust plates shearing off in slabs, dust plumes blooming, root fibers snapping.
