Golden-hour beach portrait with harsh backlight

A young male subject stands centered and facing the camera with straight, level posture, sporting short dark hair with faded sides and a spiked two-inch top that shows natural wind disruption and organic flyaways. He is dressed in a black t-shirt and striped shorts, wearing sunglasses that conceal his eyes while his mouth remains set in a serious, neutral, and posed expression. His relaxed left hand rests casually on his left thigh with slightly curled fingers, while his right hand hangs organically at his side holding a dark smartphone. He stands directly on beige sand textured with scattered footprints that guide the eye into a deep spatial environment. To the midground left, pristine calm ocean water mirrors the bright sky, while directly behind him in the background center, a line of thriving trees forms dark silhouettes against the horizon. The scene captures a warm, bright beach evening bathed in a single, highly directional, harsh golden-hour backlight that establishes a calm yet cheerful mood. This hard outdoor light creates high-contrast dramatic deep black shadows with harsh defined edges cast forward of medium length directly onto the sand, while intentionally blowing out the bright white highlights in the background sky and the shimmering water reflections. A bright sun glare pierces the right horizon, drawing the eye from the subject's face down to his hands and the sand in an asymmetric balance, grounded by a warm analogous color palette dominated by rich primary blacks, sandy beige, and crisp whites with moderate saturation. Captured straight-on using digital photography with a medium depth of field, the portrait channels casual lifestyle photography with a clean, slightly soft realistic aesthetic enhanced by subtle digital noise grain. Post-processing reveals lifted shadow recovery and intensely blown-out highlights mirroring camera settings of f/8, 1/500s, and ISO 100, all seamlessly framed in a 3:4 vertical aspect ratio.
