Black-and-White Suit Portrait on Istanbul Rooftop

Make a black-and-white photograph. The setting is a rooftop viewing platform in Istanbul. In the background the famous Galata Tower rises, and below spreads the city with mosque minarets and the waters of the Golden Horn.. My pose: relaxed, right hand raised to my face, holding a cigarette and taking a drag, left hand hanging loosely or in my trouser pocket. My body is turned slightly three-quarters, gaze directed away from the camera, into the distance. Clothing details: I am wearing a tailored black two-piece suit in a straight cut. The jacket has sharp lapels, fastened with one button, and a white pocket square in the left breast pocket. Under the jacket is a white cotton shirt with a stiff collar and cuffs showing past the jacket sleeves. At the neck, a black silk tie tied in a neat knot. Below, classic black trousers with creases, and a black leather belt at the waist. Background and setting: a panoramic view of Istanbul - rooftops, minarets, mosque domes, the surface of the bay,and the silhouette of the Galata Tower on the right. The sky is overcast, with soft clouds. Shooting style: realistic black-and-white street photography, natural diffused light, soft shadows, high contrast. Shot on a wide-angle lens(about 35mm,medium depth of field so the background is slightly soft but the city architecture stays readable. Composition: vertical frame, I occupy the center. Palette: monochrome, with deep black shadows, clean white, and gray tones. Highly detailed textures of the suit’s wool, the shirt’s cotton, and the stonework of the tower. Cinematic, strict, atmospheric style.
