# Grok Bot

Grok Bot is xAI's personal AI agent, launched in beta in August 2026, that runs on a persistent cloud computer and learns repeatable skills from screen recordings.

**Grok Bot** is a personal AI agent developed by [xAI](https://www.wikiprompt.org/wiki/xai), launched as a beta in August 2026. Rather than answering questions in a chat window, each Grok Bot runs on its own persistent, always-on virtual computer in the cloud. It was part of the 2026 surge of **personal AI agents** alongside Meta's [Muse](https://www.wikiprompt.org/wiki/muse-meta), OpenAI's [Dots](https://www.wikiprompt.org/wiki/dots-openai) and the startup [Instinct](https://www.wikiprompt.org/wiki/instinct-ai), and is distinct from the [Grok](https://www.wikiprompt.org/wiki/grok) chatbot.

## How it works

A Grok Bot can open a browser, read and write files, run terminal commands, connect to a user's accounts through built-in connectors, and use [MCP](https://www.wikiprompt.org/wiki/model-context-protocol)-enabled tools. Users create persistent bots with specific jobs, give them access to applications and websites, and delegate work much as they would to a teammate. Because the work happens in the cloud, a task keeps running even when the user's own device is off.

## Teach-a-task

Grok Bot's signature feature is **teach-a-task**: a user screen-records themselves performing a workflow once, and Grok Bot turns the recording into a repeatable skill, with no API integrations or plugins to set up.

## Availability

Grok Bot launched bundled into SuperGrok Heavy and into coding products including Cursor Ultra ($200 per month) and Cursor Teams Premium ($120 per seat per month), with a wider rollout tied to a later Grok model update.
